I bought the charger online and it arrived several days after I ordered. I am a frequent business traveller. Every time I need to carry at least 3 adapters (laptop, mobile, shaver) for my trip. With this charger, I only need to carry one which is much convenient and save my luggage spacing. However, the price & shipping rate is a bit higher.

Notebook Tip : NB227

I used MacBook sometimes at home and sometimes in the office. I was tired of climbing behind my office desk. I bought Combotronic 70Watts Power Pack and tip NB227 so that I could have 2 power adapters.

I had been worried about the compatibility of the tip, but it fit my MacBook very well.

Overall, I am happy with the purchase. There was no loose connection and slipping off. I would recommend this to Mac users.

This power pack is designed for laptops. It has 16 steps of voltage for selection : 12.5V, 13V, 13.5V, 14V, 14.5V, 15.0V, 15.5V, 16.0V, 16.5V, 17.0V, 17.5V, 18.0V, 18.5V, 19,0V, 19.5V, 20.0V. The connector head has lock feature so it eliminates the chance of slipping off. Wow, that’s awesome!

When I received it, I found it much smaller and handy than I expected. The quality is very good which is much better than other compatible adapters in the market. The manufacturer carries 3 years warranty on the adapter. Normally, manufacturer carries 2 years only.

It claimed that it supports notebook and 2 different gadget at the same time such as iPad, iPhone, mobile, digital camera, shaver, camcorder, DVD player, Nintendo, PSP, and portable printer, etc. I have tried to charge my iPad, iPhone and Philips shaver and it works fine.

The only thing that does not impress me is that the voltage selector panel is too small. The voltage wording is sometimes difficult to view.

I bought the Combotronic power pack during 2009 CES. After that, I used it for more than 2 years. So far, I found it no problem and the quality is good. Recently, I bought the tip together with the accessory for my Philips shaver because I left the original adapter in the hotel while I was travelling. I found it very convenient especially during business trip as I only need to bring one adapter that can support my laptop, shaver and mobile. Moreover, it was hard to find another compatible shaver adapter in the market. So, it is great.
